Rheological properties and phase properties are the important parameters for processing thermoplastic starch (TPS). In this paper, the rheological properties and phase transition of dry cornstarch (0% oisture content) plasticized by glycerol under shear stress were studied by Haake Rheometer and DSC. Specifically, a twin-roll mixer was used to detect the torque variation as functions of temperature and kneading time, which were used to describe the rheological properties of TPS under shear stress. |
