A lot of materials have a solid or a liquid behaviour, depending on the value of the stress level. This paper is devoted to the proposition of a fundamental constitutive model, for the understanding of such transition. The model is based on a scalar internal variable, which characterizes the shear microcracking, leading to the fluid constitutive behaviour when the material is sufficiently damaged. |
