Simulations using Dissipative Particle Dynamics (DPD) were carried out on fluid systems composed of chains having iV = 2,5,25 beads connected by FENE springs, and without any solvent particles. Steady-state rheological properties (non-Newtonian viscosity, normal stresses) were derived from simulations of plane reverse-Poiseuille flow (RPF) where a body force drives the flow in opposite directions in the upper and lower halves of a box. |
